Théâtre participatif en anglais

Le lundi 3 février, les sept classes de seconde générale du lycée ont eu l’opportunité d’assister à deux représentations interactives de Playground, une pièce mise en scène par la compagnie anglophone Pickles. Avant de monter sur scène, treize élèves volontaires ont pu s’entraîner aux côtés des comédiens Luke, Nathalie et Artemis, qui se sont montrés chaleureux et accessibles.

Playground est une mise en abîme théâtrale abordant l’amitié et la poursuite de ses rêves, mais aussi au sujet de jouer un rôle dans sa propre vie : les acteurs ont donné vie à l’histoire de Grace et Nora, deux amies d’enfance, qui quittent leur village pour la ville de Londres. L’une souhaite y mener des études de Physique pour faire plaisir à son père (alors qu’au fond d’elle-même elle rêve de devenir chef en cuisine) et l’autre rêve de devenir actrice. Mais évidemment, rien ne va se passer comme prévu…

se sont prêtés au jeu et ont donné la réplique aux comédiens, incarnant un chauffeur de taxi, un client dans un bar, 2 comédiens passant un casting, un directeur de casting et un réalisateur.

Un grand BRAVO à eux, ce n’était pas facile !

Grâce à cette approche participative, les élèves ont vécu une immersion totale en anglais pendant près de deux heures, mêlant activités préparatoires ludiques et jeu scénique. Un moment riche en échanges et en émotions !

“Today is Monday, 3 of February and the organization Pickles comes to our high school to show us its play. The name of this show is “Playground” and it takes place in the room Hermes. There were 3 actors who acted but there are also seven students who were on the stage. I am one of them and it was a really great experience to see what happened before and after the show. Luke, Artemis and Nathalie are very pleasant and funny. The main theme is about friendship between Nora and Grace but it’s not because the theme is boring that the play is. It is a play into another play. The show is also understandable despite a gap in English language.”

“We have seen a participatory theatre introduced by the Pickles group, by three actors named Luke, Artemis and Natalie. The name of the piece was Playground, written by Loïc Petit, in the high-school Charles de Gaulle.

It was a story about Grace and Nora, two best friends, who moved in London to start a new life and follow their dreams. They rent a house together and lived together. But things got in a different way as planned at the start.

The show was pretty original because they were playing a show in the show. I hadn’t found specific different parts. But I liked it anyway.

I found it a bit boring at the beginning but it was a bit more interesting towards the middle of the show. I thought it was going to be a long and boring thing but I actually found it kind of good, it even made me laugh at a moment because I jump scared when the man so suddenly shouted out loud in the middle of the hall.”
